Sign up for the tour and meet your guide in front of Orlando's Column at Luža Street for a 1.5-hour War Tour of Dubrovnik.
The fall of communist Yugoslavia ended with the Croatian Homeland War. The war spread all over Croatia. Dubrovnik, a town under UNESCO World Heritage protection, based its income on tourism. There was no military base nor soldiers in Dubrovnik. There was no reason and no excuse to attack Dubrovnik. Yet, the attack happened and it was brutal. Dubrovnik was under siege for months, without water and electricity. Around 50 000 people were hiding from bombs falling all around the Old Town. It is time to hear their stories.
Highly educated guides, with the help of over 80 wartime photos and videos taken by brave people who risked and even lost their lives to raising awareness of the terror, will take you on a stroll through the 1990s war and life in a town under siege. Relive those difficult times in the very streets where it happened.
