A day trip from Zagreb to the most popular national park in Croatia and a UNESCO World Heritage Site: Plitvice Lakes. The excursion includes a visit to the nearby Rastoke Village.
At 8:30 am we head towards the national park Plitvice Lakes. During the 2.5-hour comfortable minivan drive, admire the views as you travel out of the city and towards the luscious green landscapes of the park.
On your way to Plitvice Lakes, you will stop in the picturesque watermill village of Rastoke, sitting on top of a maze of streams and waterfalls, where you'll explore the old watermills and authentic houses connected with numerous waterfalls and small lakes.
After this short scenic break, you will arrive at Plitvice Lakes. Although an entrance ticket is not included in the price, your skip-the-line entrance is a major perk of this tour!
In the next 3 to 4 hours, you will walk around the crystal clear Lower Lakes, go for a boat ride across the Big Lake, and take the train ride back to the starting point.
The late afternoon drive back to Zagreb ends at the same spot where the day trip started.
